About the Officers

Ally Milby - President

Here's a little about me, I will be a senior at Tomball High School this upcoming year,

I have been in Scouting the majority of my life because of my brother being in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.  When I was 13 I jumped on the idea of having a crew and founded Crew 471.  I have also been to the high adventure base, Philmont for the second time now and I received my Kodiak Challenge Award this past summer there!

Next summer, I plan to receive my triple crown by going to Sea Base and Northern Tier.

Megan Schultz - Vice President of Administration

Hi! My name is Megan Schultz and I am a senior at Ridge Point HS. I have been in Venture Crew 140 for 3 years. In my crew, I have served as Secretary, Vice-President, and President. I am involved in my school as Student-Body Secretary and Spanish National Honor Society President, and I am involved in Fort Bend Teen Service League.

With my crew, I have been able to go to the Summit, Philmont, and Kandersteg International Scout Center. I have completed NYLT and have staffed NYLT three times.  Currently, I am a Discoverer, working towards my Pathfinder rank.

I clearly see Venturing in our council becoming more connected and working more effectively.  I have a passion for reaching out to new crews and new Scouts. I also want to make the annual Venturing Challenge a bigger inter-crew activity and make it a teaching experience while continuing the fun and games. Venturing in our council has the potential to be even better than it is now.

Nathaniel York - Vice President of Program

Hi, my name is Nathaniel York.  I will be a senior at Oak Ridge high school this year and I am part of Crew 471.

For my entire life, Scouting has been a central part it. I started as a Tiger and now I am an Eagle Scout, very active in the Order of the Arrow, and Venturing. I have been to Philmont Scout Ranch once. I have worked four summer camps as staff. two of which were in Alaska, as well as worked at Denali High Adventure Scout Base. I was also part of the pilot trek 2 for Swamp Base in Louisiana.

I hope to enhance our high adventure and to put an exciting twist on already fun activities. I want to diversify the high adventure in SHAC and network for our crews so that they know the endless possibilities high adventure.
